Live Robotic Surgery (Knee Replacement) performed by Dr. Shekhar Srivastav (HOD, Orthopedics) at Sant Parmanand Hospital, Kashmere Gate was a highlight of the 10th Annual Conference of the West Bengal Arthroplasty Society (WBASCON 2025), held from 23rd to 25th May 2025 at Hotel Vivanta, Kolkata.

The live telecast of the surgery was streamed on a large screen in the main conference hall, where over 200 orthopedic surgeons from across the region watched the procedure in real-time. The immersive session included a step-by-step demonstration of advanced robotic techniques for knee replacement, featuring precision movements and innovative technology.
Surgeons in the audience keenly observed the procedure, which included real-time commentary and interaction to clarify critical steps. The live surgery session was a part of the conference’s theme, “Thinking Beyond Tomorrow!”, showcasing cutting-edge innovations in arthroplasty.
